The UK Cyber Security and Resilience Bill (CSRB) is here! After it was announced in April, the Bill was published last week, and we’ve been examining it with a fine-tooth comb to bring you the highlights in this carousel.
The Bill is mandatory. It amends the Network Information Security Regulations 2018, expanding its scope to strengthen the nation against ever-increasing cyber threats.
As stated in the policy paper,
“[In 2024], the UK was the most targeted country in Europe for cyber attacks, and looking across all cyber incidents, over 40% of UK businesses experienced cyber-attacks – equivalent to over 600,000 organisations.
Cyber attacks are estimated to cost UK businesses £14.7 billion each year, equivalent to 0.5% of UK GDP.”
