Available in 22U, 36U, 40U and 44U sizes, our rackmount cabinets hold up to 88 half-depth servers to attain industry-leading density levels. Our racks are also compatible with our storage offerings and our standard-depth server designs. Systems come fully racked, stacked and cabled for easy deployment, while front-facing I/O speeds serviceability and maintenance.
Rackmount Rack Layout
SGI's Rackable half-depth servers provide a high density, high efficiency solution for any data center environment. Designed to eliminate hot-aisle/cold-aisle challenges, our half-depth systems mount back to back in our Rackable racks to achieve twice the density while enabling more efficient cooling strategies through the use of a central air plenum. Our half-depth systems feature standard width and can also be deployed in any two-post or standard rack from other providers.
Half-depth systems can be deployed in any desired combination of 1U, 2U, 3U or 4U form factors to coexist in the front and back of a single rack. These servers support todays fastest quad- and six-core x86-based processors including energy efficient, low wattage processors from AMD and Intel. When combined with SGI's award-winning DC power technology or high efficiency AC power supplies and our patented cooling techniques, data centers will experience excellent price performance per watt and a reduction in operational expenses.
Data center administrators will also appreciate the front facing I/O for simplified maintenance and maximum serviceability. Plus, these servers are delivered fully racked, cabled and tested for quick, easy deployment. IPMI-based remote management technology offers complete lights-out remote management through an Ethernet connection for in-band and out-of-band access (remote management via a secure serial interface is also available).
