Support services overview

MSS IT Support Services provide our customers with installation, maintenance and technical support across a wide range of storage, networking & server devices. These services are delivered through a network of technical support specialists who are highly trained to deal with the latest IT systems.

MSS has a vast wealth of experience in the Data Centre environment. The majority of the employees have over 20 years of IT experience covering technologies like VMS, IBM Mainframe, Tru64, Solaris, HPUX, Microsoft, Enterprise Storage, Microsoft and Core Networking. As part of the contract MSS would review installed technologies and give advice on tactical and strategic solutions that would help reduce costs whilst improving performance.

These cover solutions like virtualisation, emulation packages, adoption of new technologies or rationalisation to core platforms. This may be because equipment has become end of life or the cost of support far outweighs the benefit it brings. For example, a point solution that has high costs of maintenance and support and is from a specialist vendor there may be benefits to looking at migrating to a more Industry Standard solution or economic platform.

All MSS maintenance support is delivered through a single-point-of-contact utilising the comprehensive range of skills and resources within a dedicated 24/7 technical assistance centre.  From here all incidents are managed and dealt with in the most efficient and time effective manner.  Our multi-vendor approach is delivered through a wide network of experienced field engineers and allows our customers  a more responsive and efficient support solution.

Installation services

At MSS we have a dedicated installation team of highly qualified engineers, so whatever the requirement you can be sure that we have the coverage to assist with your network or server requirements.

MSS support engineers are trained and certified by market leading hardware vendors as system engineers and will provide a full network installation service, ensuring competency in addressing and diagnosing hardware and software issues. With a wide network of trained engineers located across the UK and Ireland MSS have the necessary infrastructure for all types of system installation 

If you require maintenance cover on equipment that is installed our technical staff will identify the spares requirement. We currently house an extensive spares inventory which ensures we can achieve the required fix times across all support contracts.
